Edmonton - Chapter On Hold for 2020

The Edmonton Basketeers Chapter is on pause for 2020. We thank you for your past support. Stay tuned for information in the spring for details on the 2021 campaign. Take care and stay safe.

Welcome to Edmonton Basketeers,

After being introduced to the Basketeers organization in 2012 while living in Ottawa and donating baskets with friends and co-workers over the years I am so excited to set up a chapter in my new hometown city of Edmonton.  This volunteer-run organization has been working tirelessly in Eastern Canada for almost 20 years providing women who have been living in women’s shelters that are ready to move out onto their own with laundry baskets filled with kitchen, bedroom and household supplies – and hope.

I am so inspired by these courageous women who have taken the steps to protect themselves and their children in the face of difficulties and are ready to stand on their own two feet. I have put together laundry baskets for the past 6 years with friends, family and co-workers and am amazed to see how, with the help of many, we can make such a big difference and at the same time connect with friends and co-workers to work towards a fun project!

I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce this amazing project to the Edmonton area and would love your support, help and encouragement. Please feel free to contact me anytime – to chat, share your ideas and resources and turn you into a lifelong Basketeer!
